How Poshmark Fees Work in 2026: The Clear Formula
Poshmark provides one of the simplest fee structures in social commerce. Unlike other marketplaces with complex category tiers, listing fees, and processing markups, Poshmark operates on a transparent two-tier commission structure:
1. The $15.00 Threshold Rule
- Sales Under $15.00: Poshmark takes a flat fee of $2.95. You keep the remainder as your net earnings.
- Sales $15.00 and Above: Poshmark takes an exact 20.0% commission. You keep 80.0% of the sale price.
2. Poshmark Shipping Mechanics & Discounts
On Poshmark, standard shipping is paid directly by the buyer via a flat-rate prepaid USPS Priority Mail label ($7.97 for packages up to 5 lbs). Sellers do not have to purchase external postage or worry about package weight up to 5 lbs.
However, when sending Offers to Likers or participating in Closet Clear Out, Poshmark requires sellers to offer a shipping discount:
- $4.99 Shipping Offer: The buyer pays $4.99, and the seller pays the remaining $2.98 discount from their earnings.
- Free Shipping Offer: The seller covers the full $7.97 shipping label directly from their sale proceeds.
3. Maximizing Your Net Poshmark Earnings
Because sales under $15 incur a flat $2.95 fee, low-cost items face very high effective fee rates. For example, a $5 sale incurs a $2.95 fee (59.0% effective fee rate). To maximize profit margins, successful Poshmark sellers bundle lower-priced items together so the total order value exceeds $25, ensuring the standard 20% rate applies.
